Yay it's summer! So I moved into my new home in Vermont on June 1st. I'm living with 3 other girls: Sheena, Lauren and Kate. We're getting along really well so far and I love our house. This summer I'm a camp counselor at a Burlington YMCA day camp. However, the camp is not at the Y -- it's out in the wilderness!! So it's a lot of fun to be outdoors and with kids.. even though they're a pain sometimes. My boss is very chill and it's the best summer job I've ever had!
Our house! The front door opens into the living room and kitchen. The bottom left window is Kate's room, the top left window is Sheena's room and the top right window is Lauren's room. My window is on the side of the house.
My Dad managed somehow to get all my shit, including my desk, bookcase, dresser, bike and futon into this cargo van. Moving would've been a lot harder without my dad and my uncle to help move my stuff in. My Uncle Doug told me, "You're not allowed to move ever again."
A view of my room from the hallway. The house is somewhat old - as you can see from the antique hardwood floors. I really like the look of them, even though there are some big cracks and uneven boards.

Ok not to brag, but I LOVE the way I arranged this corner of my room. I love that my bed is in this little nook with a slanted ceiling. Notice the pictures? The 3 sides of the walls with pictures that you can see are friends pictures. Do you see yourself? Don't fret, you are up there somewhere.. everybody is. The pictures of family are on the side of the top wall facing the window, the 4th side that you can't see. I also LOVE my futon. It doesn't even feel like a futon because my parents bought me a Simmons Beautyrest mattress - with the individually wrapped springs - so it molds to my body pretty much and It's so easy to fall asleep on. :-)
My desk. Notice the dark purple color of it - I painted my bookcase, dresser and desk while I was home in NJ, prior to moving in. I have some more pictures of my room but they came out kinda fuzzy. I think you get the idea of the look of it though.

This is Kate and Sheena emptying the trash that was LEFT HERE by the previous tenants. In the middle of trying to bring it all outside to the curb, a hole formed in the bag Sheena was carrying and a beer bottle broke and spilled beer all over Sheena's foot! ewwww

North Beach in Burlington... yes, this is what a beach is here: lake + sand. This is the most populated beach in Vermont. It's nice though because I can bike down to it and there's a long bike path that runs along the lakeside all through Vermont.

Our living room. I love how Lauren is sitting just like Matt Damon is on the TV. The sign on the coffee table, "Kate is Sleeping" was made because Kate sleeps on the first floor and so when we come in at night, we know whether or not to be really quiet.
